Cool Tape is about 4mil thick.
Do you make the tape in a larger size?
Our Reflect-A-Cool material is a larger version of the Cool Tape and offered in a 48" x 36” sheet. Currently, Cool Tape is offered in 3 different sizes, 1-3/8" x 15' roll (PN # 10408), 1-3/8" x 30' roll (PN # 10416), and 2" x 60' roll (PN # 10413).

| ANSWER: No, this is shielding for areas exposed to high heat (such as plastic), not for direct application to exhaust pipes. Please use our exhaust wrap product for the exhaust pipes, good for up to 2000 degrees. |

| QUESTION: If i wanted to keep my powercommander cool because im living in southern cal where it gets up to 125 degrees would this stuff work for that or do you have any suggestions? thanks

| ANSWER: The best way to keep the electronics cool is to make sure there is some form of ventilation in the compartment where it is located. Heat wrap does not prevent the flow of energy, it simply slows it down, i.e. it simply gets hot slower. Radiant reflective shielding around the compartment would lower the internal temperature of the compartment - this would be an effective solution, but wrapping the device itself would not be effective. |
